Residient Evil: 1998

This year was not only the 20th anniversary of the release of Resident Evil 2 but also the 20th anniversary of all the momentous events that preceded and followed Claire and Leon’s fateful meeting in Racoon City.

1998 is a big year in the Resident Evil timeline.

A masterful quintet of atmospheric campy horror games beginning with the STARS doomed investigation of the Arklay mountains, followed by Claire’s desperate escape and Jill Valentines epic struggle against the Nemesis, finally ending with the destruction of Racoon City and the fall of Umbrella’s monstrous Ashford Twins.

20 years ago...

At the dawning of the October 1st 1998, the zombie infested Racoon City was 'sterilised' by the US government with a suspected nuclear warhead.

Only a handful of people managed to escape the city alive before it was immolated. 

Resident Evil: Nigthmare Continues

On this day 20 years ago...
 Claire Redfield and Leon s Kennedy entered

 Racoon City unaware that the town was in
 the deadly grip of the T-Virus.

 Worse still they would soon encounter William Birkin, who in desperation had infected himself 

with his own creation, the heinous G-virus.

Resident Evil One

On this day 20 years ago S.T.A.R.S Alpha Team lost contact with their compatriots Brove Team.
Brove's helicopter and dead pilot Kevin were all they found in the Arklay forest, shortly afterwards Alpha Team where attacked by a pack of rabid Dobermanns, losing their team member Joseph in the ensuing carnage.

The survivors Jill, Chris, Barry and Wesker where forced to seek refuge in a mysterious mansion, they thought they'd found safety...

...but their nightmare was just beginning.

Resident Evil Zero

On this day 20 years ago, Brove Team's helicopter crashed in the Arklay Mountains 

But their horrendous ordeal was just beginning. 

In the end only one team member, the rookie medic Rebecca Chambers would survive.
